After New York Observer writer Jared Kushner married Ivanka Trump, the kids of two actual property moguls decided to ditch their present dwelling - Kushner’s former bachelor pad - for a Trump Park Avenue penthouse. And an announcement Firday ( by way of Twitter) that Trump is pregnant with the couple’s first little one casts that call in new light.
The residence the couple have shared since their wedding is WSJ’s New York Home of the Day. Kushner, publisher and owner of the New York Observer, has listed the 21 Astor Place duplex for $4.1 million.
He purchased the Greenwich Village residence in 2009 for $3.225 million, in line with property records. Apart from the excessive ceilings and architectural elements of the two-bedroom loft, Kushner said he was drawn to the home’s downtown location. “It’s among the best positioned places in the metropolis,” he said.
To convince Trump to maneuver into his bachelor pad, Kushner said he transformed an upstairs study right into a closet.
Although Trump, the daughter of Donald Trump, didn’t transfer in to Kushner’s bachelor pad until the couple had been married in October 2009, she left an indelible mark on the place early on, from the home’s renovations to the décor and furnishings. “I wanted to create a space that was more modern and catered to Jared,” she said.
The couple plan to move to a four-bed room penthouse at Park Avenue and 59th Street. “My father was extremely generous and gave us an amazing deal on the condominium,” Trump said.
